Be a Marigold
As we complete two whole weeks of classes, let us not forget to always be a marigold!

Facilities Requests
In order for our maintenance team to serve the campus in the best way possible and as quickly as possible, PLEASE create a ticket in Incident IQ. You also need to contact Roberto using his TDI email address for the quickest response. It is roberto.chavez@tdindustries.com
Reminders from the Dean of Academics
The Drop/Add Period begins Sept. 1! If a student needs to move up or down a level, TEACHERS (not counselors) will provide the students with the Schedule Change form (form will be shared with you in the next few days). Students will then gather all the signatures necessary in order to make the change.
Recommendations for student course placement are to be done in the spring prior to the school year in which the course will be taken. Please do not make recommendations for past students at this point.
Safety and Security Updates
If you still have a "Love You Guys" sign in your classroom, please take them down. We have updated our policies as stated in the Crisis Management Plan and those signs are now out of date.
The evacuation maps in your classroom will. be checked and updated, if needed. If you have questions about your evacuation route, please let Auggie know.
Please review pages 23 - 28 in the Crisis Management Plan closely to confirm where you are to shelter in place in case of inclement weather.
When we have a substitute on campus during a drill and/or an emergency that requires attendance to be taken, please assist the substitute teacher that is near you. The substitutes will not have Raptor on their devices, so a teacher will have to assist using the directory that is found on the Raptor Route. It would be a VERY good idea to find a "drill buddy" now and whenever you are absent, you have your drill buddy to assist the substitute. Your closest neighbor would be the best option.
Social Contracts
Next week, you should begin/continue (or maybe you already completed) creating social contracts for each one of your classes. If you have ANY questions about how to make the contract work for your class/teaching style or need any guidance whatsoever, please reach out to any of the Deans or myself. We would be happy to have those conversations with you!
Substitute List
Starting Monday, Julie Hopkins will be sending out a morning email letting everyone know who is out for the day, who is subbing, and what classes are being subbed for. This will be great information for us to have in case of an emergency and to ensure all classes are taken care of and we know who will be on and off campus.
Tech Remind Group
Technology will use this to send out alerts regarding service outages, broken printers, repair updates, reminders for training, and the occasional tech tip.
Two Important Messages from Yearbook and Mr. Fountain
Greetings! Please take 90 seconds to read to the end.
I am seeking your help (yes, all of you) in learning about the ebb and flow of life on our campus. We are looking for:
- Any classes doing interactive assignments (things that would lend themselves to photos)
- Your club, its name, meeting time/date/location, adviser and student leader
- Any academic clubs or associations (NHS, etc.), including name, meeting time/date/location, adviser and student leader
- Academic competitions through TAPPS or other organizations.
- Any and all activities calendars
- Anything else that might be cool or of interest
Also, the yearbook staff would love to know what you did this summer! If you worked a job, took a trip, volunteered, went to a camp, took a mission trip, or anything else of note, please let us know.
Email Mr. Fountain (stevefountain@johnpauliihs.org), share a Google doc, or drop a note off in Room 2310.
Be sure to include your first and last name, a brief summary of what you did and your contact information.
We will reach out to you from there.
Thanks!
