Senior Athletes or Independent Studies
If you are a coach that has an athletic period or if you have an independent study please remember that you are responsible for all of your students during the entire class period. Seniors are not allowed to go to a different location during the class. You need to ensure that you are monitoring all of your students for the full 85 minutes. You also must take attendance accurately.

Yale Book Award - From Mickey
Dearest Cardinal Family:
I am pleased to announce that JPIl has been invited to select a worthy junior as a recipient of the Yale Book Award. This award is sponsored by the Yale Alumni Book Club of Dallas.
Award recipients are high school juniors who have excelled both academically and through their extracurricular activities, especially in the area of leadership.
Yale Alumni Book Club Award winners will receive a book, a Yale pamphlet, and a handwritten letter of congratulations from Yale Alumni Book Club of Dallas.
Please nominate one student you believe meets the following criteria:
- Maintains a high GPA
- Demonstrates a strong personal character
- Actively involved in positions of leadership at JPII and their community
- Has made positive contributions to the JPII
- Excels/shows prowess in at least one non-academic area
- Is or will be a candidate for entrance at a competitive college or university
