AcDec Recruiting
It is time to recruit new members for the Academic Decathlon and Octathlon teams! We are in need of the names of freshmen and sophomores who you think might be a good fit for AcDec.
We need all types of students: "A" students, "B" students, and especially "C" students. "C" students are the kids who are really smart but would rather read a book than do their actual assignments.
We are especially in need of "B" and "C" students. "A" students tend to find us on their own, but "B" and especially"C" students are harder to find.
Please let Keith Gannett and Kristen Burt know if you have any students you think would love AcDec!
AP Testing Locations
During the two weeks of AP Testing, May 5th - May 16th, we may have to move classrooms around. We are trying to be as organized and efficient as possible and using as much space as we can so as to not disrupt too many classes, but I wanted you all to know ahead of time, that you may be asked to relocate at some point during the two weeks of testing.
We have more students testing this year so we may need to close some of the faculty spaces in certain houses. You always have access to microwaves, bathrooms, etc., but you may have to walk a little further to get there during those two weeks.
I really appreciate your flexibility during AP Exams. Thank you in advance!

Teacher/Staff Updates
- We have hired a Transportation Coordinator who will be joining our staff. John Graf will be starting in this position very soon. Please help me in welcoming him to the Cardinal Family!
- You will soon see a new posting on our website for a Theology teacher for next year. Julia Atwell has decided to take a Theology teaching position at Ursuline Academy for the 2025-2026 school year. Please help me in wishing her the best in her next adventure. She will be greatly missed at JPII.
