Please take some time to self-assess!
Just a reminder that as I and the Deans walk through classrooms, we will be looking for things on this form. There are some great goals in all sections so please take some time to review!
CKH Resources
If you have not logged in to https://www.capturingkidshearts.org/ and spent some time in their resources, PLEASE DO!! There is so much goodness here and so many activities, ideas, lessons, launches, ways to engage, ways to explore, ways to communicate...it is amazing!
CKH Strategist
Thank you so much to all of the teachers who welcomed our CKH Strategist, Allyson Price, into your classrooms today. Allyson will be with us all year as we continue to implement the CKH Processes at JPII.
CKH Looking Ahead
I hope you know by now that this was not a two-day in-service that you will never hear about again. It is a program and process that we will continue to build at JPII. We now have a team of Process Champions (listed below) here on campus who attended an all day training yesterday. They will be people you will hear from often and who you can go to with questions about Capturing Kids' Hearts. Also know that in the next couple of months, I will be sending out specific CKH surveys to our students, teachers, and staff to collect data as we continue to grow these processes here.

Dia de los Muertos
Penelope and Stephanie have been working with their classes and discussing Day of the Dead, November 1st and 2nd, and its connection to All Souls Day and All Saints Day. The students will be putting up "ofrendas" in the hallway to remember and honor the deceased. They are encouraging their students to bring photos of family members to place on the ofrenda in their honor. They would like to open this up to all faculty and staff as well. There are 6 tables in the hall in the Freshman House set up that will be decorated by Friday. Please bring anything you would like to display to Penelope or Stephanie!

Shining the Light Teachers
Starting next week, I will be sending a link in our weekly parent newsletter and emailing students a link to give them the opportunity to shine the light on their teachers. I can't wait to read about the wonderful things they have to say about you! I will be spreading those positive messages throughout our community all during the year!
