Level of Rigor Schedule Change FAQ
- When can students start to request a change to drop an H/DC/AP course? The window for submission of the request form is September 4, through September 11, 2024.
- Will there be another time this semester to request a change for this semester? No, the next window will be in December for the spring semester schedules.
- What must occur before a student can request a change? The student will need to have attended the teacher's tutorials. The parent and teacher will need to have a conversation regarding a possible change. The student cannot have any zeros in the teacher's gradebook (all grades must be recorded so that if a possible change is made, all grades will be transferred). Please make sure all of these steps are completed before giving a student the request form.
- How does the student start the process? Teachers will receive the form from Dr. Ripley on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and can share it with students who have gone through the process in Question #3.
- What needs to be completed on the request form? Once students receive the request form from teachers, students will complete Section 1. Parents will complete Section 2. Teachers will complete Section 3 verifying steps in Question #3. Students will then submit the form to their Counselor.
- When will the schedule change happen? Once Counselors receive the request form, they will verify that all steps have been completed and that the request meets the criteria. If it does, the schedule will then be changed. If the request does not meet the criteria, Counselors will submit to Dr. Ripley for further review.
- Is this a form for any schedule change? No, the only schedule changes being considered at this time are for level of rigor changes. This form is not for the students "changing their minds" (i.e. wanting to drop Principles of Architecture and add Small Animal Management).

Texas Rangers Catholic School Night
